Dear Cecilia
Brooke & Carlo featured in Dear CeciliaI'm grateful to the Dear Cecilia team for spending the morning with us and sharing our story. It's always meaningful to collaborate with people who believe that the best things aren't just beautiful—they're made to be lived with. The morning wasn't really about bags—it was about the stories we carry with us. We talked about the paths that brought both Carlo and me here, how a horse changed my life, and why slowing down, caring for old things, and surrounding ourselves with objects that are made to last has become so important.

Those include fragrance line Maison d’Etto, maple syrup brand Laurel & Ash and vintage curated by Flora Vintage and other indie businesses.”

Eat My Words
Interview on Eat My Words PodcastI sat down with Johanna Almstead to talk about Flora Vintage and Gather as well as my career in the fashion industry including time working with Raf Simons at Calvin Klein and in Milan at Prada, where I developed a strong foundation in design, storytelling, and the emotional power of clothing. We talk about our love of luxury fashion from a young age and how we both ended up at our dream companies before realizing that maybe they weren't the dream after all. We talk about how traditional school wasn't the path for me but that she became a student of art, design and business through her work experience. We also talk about learning to honor our own creativity and giving our ideas the respect they deserve.

My Mother’s ClothesIn My Mother’s Clothes, photographer Jeannette Montgomery Barron creates a poignant and enduring portrait of her late mother through still life images of her cherished clothing, shoes, and personal possessions. As her mother’s struggle with Alzheimer’s progressed, Montgomery Barron began this unique visual diary as a way of both sparking her mother’s memories, and coping with her own sense of loss. Poetic, riveting, and elegant, the exhibit is part fashion diary, part personal memoir, part personal loving memorial and ultimately part life celebration. To accompany the exhibit, Brooke Savona of Flora Vintage has curated a selection of vintage clothing and accessories inspired by Jeannette’s work.
